Deputy Minister: Azerbaijan intends to expand cooperation with Pacific Alliance

Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with the countries of the Pacific Alliance, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov said at the opening of the office of the Pacific Alliance in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that the alliance is one of the fastest growing economic organizations.

In his opinion, by opening an office in Baku, the countries of the organization demonstrate an interest in the rapidly developing economy of Azerbaijan.

The deputy foreign minister spoke about the most promising transport projects being implemented in the country. Elnur Mammadov noted that the new Baku International Sea Trade Port in the Alat settlement, as well as the (expected) opening of the Zangazur corridor, represent great prospects for the development of trade and cooperation.

“We also welcome the interest of the alliance countries to participate in the restoration of the liberated territories and further cooperation in this direction,” Elnur Mammadov said.

The Pacific Alliance is a trade block that includes four Latin American countries: Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia. Azerbaijan is an observer country in the alliance.
