Deputy Minister: Azerbaijan, India have potential to increase cooperation in non-oil sector

Azerbaijan and India have the potential to increase cooperation in the non-oil sector, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov said at an event on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the National Day of India, according to Report.

"Azerbaijan and India are interested in developing transport and communication ties in the region," he said.

The deputy minister emphasized that over the past year there has been active cooperation between the two countries in various fields: “Holding a meeting between the foreign ministers is important for the future of our cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.”

Mammadov also noted the importance of cooperation within the North-South international transport corridor.

According to him, Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of “green” energy and the creation of a “green energy” zone in Karabakh is a clear confirmation of this.

In addition, according to the deputy minister, holding COP29 in Azerbaijan is an indicator of Azerbaijan’s desire for a sustainable future.
