Deportation of 50 Azerbaijani citizens expected in Germany

Another mass deportation of Azerbaijani citizens from the Federal Republic of Germany is expected, Report informs.

About 50 people living in different cities of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia were taken yesterday to the deportation center of the German Interior Ministry near Dusseldorf airport.

Most of these people came to Germany in 2015-2019 and applied for asylum. Azerbaijani citizens whose asylum applications were rejected by local courts were initially warned to leave the country voluntarily. Later, decisions on their deportation were made by local courts.

It will be the first mass deportation of Azerbaijani citizens from Germany in 2022. Last year, Germany carried out nine such mass expulsions of Azerbaijani citizens.
