Costa Rican President invites Azerbaijani Ambassador to his country

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Costa Rica, Mamed Talibov, presented his credentials to the country's President, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, during a videoconference ceremony.

The meeting discussed traditionally friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Costa Rica, mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, as well as the potential for collaboration in the fields of economy, trade, culture, tourism, education, science and agriculture, the Embassy of Mexico in Azerbaijan told Report. The parties expressed hope that the two countries' relations will reach a new level through joint efforts.

M. Talibov said that Azerbaijan highly appreciates Costa Rica's position on the Karabakh conflict based on international law during the years when the internationally recognized Azerbaijani territories were under Armenian occupation.

In conclusion, wishing peace and prosperity to our country, President Quesada congratulated Talibov on his appointment as Ambassador to Costa Rica, wished him success in his future activities, and invited him to visit Costa Rica soon.
