The delegation of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company (AOC) is visiting New York (US) to participate in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly and Climate Week.
Report informs citing the company that as part of the visit, on September 26, AOC held a briefing on organizational and operational issues of preparation for COP29, which will be held in November this year in Azerbaijan.
Delegations from several UN member countries participated in the event.
Narmin Jarchalova, chairperson of the operating company's Board, Wasim Mir, Director of the Conference Affairs Division of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Cecilia Kinuthia-Njenga, director of the Intergovernmental Support and Collective Progress Division of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and members of the Coordination Council of AOC COP29 Shahla Abbakirova and Ismayil Isayev.
The delegations discussed issues of interst during the briefing.
