Columbian news portal writes about Armenia's preparations for military operations

On September 13, the influential and widely-read Colombian news portal Noticias Colombia published an article about the large-scale provocation and preparations for large-scale military operations by the Armenian armed forces, Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico told Report.

Referring to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the article says that the units of the armed forces of Armenia launched large-scale sabotage in the directions of Dashkasan, Kalbajar, and Lachin on the state border of the two countries and mined the areas between the positions of the units of the Azerbaijani Army and the supply roads in different directions. It was also noted that as a result of the intensive firing of the positions of the Azerbaijani Army from various types of weapons, including mortars, there were casualties among the personnel of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, and the military infrastructure was damaged.

The article says that Armenia did not fulfill the provisions of the Tripartite Declaration signed in November 2020 and withdraw its armed forces from the territory of Azerbaijan, thus delaying the normalization and peace processes in the region under various pretexts.

Referring to the interview with the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Mexico, Mammad Talibov, the article expressed the concern of the Azerbaijani government regarding the deployment of heavy equipment and large-caliber weapons by Armenia in the region. As noted, it is an indicator of preparation for large-scale military operations by Yerevan.

It was also emphasized that Armenia should adhere to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states and abandon the policy of aggression.

It says that the Azerbaijani government has carried out extensive construction and restoration in the liberated territories. Azerbaijan has taken constructive steps to delimit and demarcate the borders, open regional communications, and sign a peace agreement. However, Armenia’s provocations prevented the implementation of these steps.
