CIS secretary general says 'impressed' by high turnout in elections in Azerbaijan

The observation mission was impressed by the high voter turnout and well-organized work of members of the election commission at the snap elections in Azerbaijan, the head of the observation mission from the CIS, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev said at a press conference.

He recalled that observers from the CIS mission had been working in Azerbaijan for several weeks.

"In addition to the clear organization of work, we paid attention to the enthusiasm of voters, which manifested themselves in conversations. They all talked about the changes that have occurred in Azerbaijan, and that they are eagerly participating in the elections," the CIS secretary general said.
