The chief rabbi of the Moselle department in northeastern France and the city of Metz, Bruno Fischzon, is shocked by the comments of Armenian political figures, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, using the Holocaust theme, Report informs, citing an article by the Bulgarian publication Sofia Globe.
The article notes that from August 27 to September 7, 86 leading rabbis of America and Europe responded to the call of Baku rabbi Zamir Isaev and spoke out against the demonization of Azerbaijan and the use of the Holocaust theme by the country’s enemies.
They demanded an “immediate and complete” end to the use of the Holocaust theme by Armenian propaganda “for the sake of achieving any political goals.”
Jewish clerics also expressed disappointment in connection with Armenia's cooperation with Iran. They expressed deep disappointment in the cooperation of the Armenian government with the ruling authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, “a country which incessantly openly and publicly calls for its destruction of the only Jewish country in the world.”.
Zamir Isaev himself noted that “the United States and the EU are making efforts to conclude a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Exerting psychological pressure (on Azerbaijan) by bringing in the issue of “genocide” can only harm the negotiation process.”
