Chief of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration meets Putin's special envoy

The head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Samir Nuriyev, met with Russian President's Special Envoy for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi.

Report informs that the meeting focused on the special role of the two leaders in the comprehensive development of the Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation at the level of strategic partnership, based on friendship and good neighborliness.

The the sides underscored the importance of the humanitarian sphere, one of the important areas of bilateral relations, and reaffirmed their mutual intention to further develop cooperation in this area.

They also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of culture, an important part of humanitarian relations, and exchanged views on holding joint events.

The attention and care paid to the Russian language and Russian culture at the state level in Azerbaijan were highly credited, and the presence of over 340 Russian-language schools in Azerbaijan was noted.

They stressed with satisfaction that despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian relations between Azerbaijan and Russia continue.

The two men also exchanged views on the diaspora and other issues of mutual interest.
