Moldova thanks Azerbaijan for sending humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees, Charge d'Affaires of Moldova in Azerbaijan Nicolae Cojuhari said, Report informs.
“Today is a significant day for us - our friendly country Azerbaijan is helping Moldova in this difficult period. Many citizens of Ukraine have moved through Moldova to other countries, but at the moment about 100,000 Ukrainians temporarily live in Moldova, which is approximately 4% of the total the population of the country itself. We are grateful to friendly Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for their help,” the charge d'affaires said.
The Azerbaijani government on April 15 sent another batch of humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees who entered the territory of Moldova as a result of the crisis in Ukraine. The cargo consists of medicines and supplies for urgent and emergency medical care.
