The chairmanship of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (PABSEC) has been transferred from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria.
Report informs that the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and PABSEC, Sahiba Gafarova, announced this at the 65th plenary session of the Assembly held in Baku.
She said that she handed over the chairmanship to her colleague, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Nataliya Kiselova.
Nataliya Kiselova emphasized that Bulgaria will serve to protect the environment and regional cooperation both domestically and beyond its borders: "We must double our efforts to strengthen regional cooperation."
Later, she presented Sahiba Gafarova with the "Honor" medal.
Kiselova noted that the autumn session of PABSEC will be held in Bulgaria in November.
