The provocative statements of the journalist during the passage of Azerbaijani and Armenian athletes at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games embody the close coalition between the French government and Armenian nationalists, the founder of the country's Musulmansenfrance portal, journalist Jean-Michel Brun said in his statement to Report commenting on the provocative statements voiced by the tv host on the French FR2 TV during the parade of Azerbaijani and Armenian athletes.
Brun said that Laurent Delahousse, a journalist for FR2 TV, repeats the lesson taught to him.
“There is a close coalition between the French government and Armenian nationalists. This solidarity between the French government and the Dashnaksutyun party represented by Ara Toranyan and Murad Papazyan created a pro-Armenian atmosphere in an important part of the country's political circles. However, Armenians themselves, even almost the majority, do not support the ideas of this extreme Armenian party,” the French journalist said.
According to him, Murad Papazyan heads more than 80 media organizations in France. Among them are the journalism schools of France. This means that French journalists are formed in these schools. Thus, French journalists, including Laurent Delahousse, repeat what the Armenians say.
The expert said that a journalist should not only be objective, but also correct and fair: “The news by a journalist should not mislead people. Unfortunately, French journalists educated in Armenian schools are busy repeating extremist and nationalist Armenian ideas without any independent research.”
Jean-Michel Brun added that the Olympic Games show the mentality of the host country: “During the Olympic Games held in Barcelona, Spain, we were accompanied by a colorful and joyful atmosphere. During the opening of the London Olympic Games quality and high professionalism, while in Beijing discipline and solidarity of the people were felt. During the opening ceremony of the Paris Summer Olympic Games, today's French mentality was once again demonstrated.”
According to the expert, although the French government previously decided not to politicize the Olympic Games, it did so. On the other hand, it is a great pity that the vessels carrying the athletes were in a deplorable state.
“The ideas presented, the lights, the decorations, the lighting of the Eiffel Tower were not bad. It was a good thing that Celine Dion sang a song dedicated to love, and that the French national anthem was sung by a black singer in front of our flag. But all this reminded of a house decorated on the outside while its inside is in a dilapidated condition. A decapitated queen was displayed while the values of France are freedom, equality, and fraternity, and a famous painting dedicated to the prophet Jesus was ridiculed. France has introduced itself to the world as a country that promotes vulgar and dishonest practices. France, which supports the occupying countries and cooperates with the countries that committed genocide, demonstrated its hypocritical policy once again during the opening ceremony of this Summer Olympic Games,” Brun said.
