BMT official expresses hope for swift peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan

"We are hopeful that a peace agreement will be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future," Tatyana Valovaya, Director-General of the UN Office in Geneva, said during a meeting with Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee of Azerbaijan for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Report informs.

She noted with satisfaction that more than 80 percent of the issues have been agreed upon in the negotiation process.

Emphasizing that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN Office in Geneva covers wide areas, Tatyana Valovaya particularly highlighted the importance of organizing a photo exhibition called "17 Faces of Action" at the Heydar Aliyev Center two years ago, on her initiative and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Swiss Women and Empowerment Association.
