Blinken says peace needed to promote connectivity in South Caucasus

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the progress made toward a durable and dignified peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and encouraged further steps to finalize a deal as soon as possible, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement on the meeting between Blinken, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Report informs.

“The Secretary also emphasized the importance of peace in promoting regional connectivity, which would benefit the entire South Caucasus region,” Miller added.
