Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Jose Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain within the framework of the 4th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe.
Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry, that the parties discussed current issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Spain, including developments in the region.
Informing his interlocutor about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan's recovery, construction, and peace efforts in the region, Bayramov pointed out that continuous military and political provocations of the Armenian side and the continuation of the mine threat are among the main challenges hindering the advancement of the peace process. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan is committed to the peace process based on the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
