It is necessary to follow the rules of international law regarding the names of cities of sovereign states, and not to use fake and non-existent names, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov said, Report informs.
“Germany declares that it supports the sovereignty of Azerbaijan, but, when speaking about the cities of Shusha and Khankandi, for some reason it uses Armenian names,” he said.
According to Bayramov, in her speech, the German Foreign Minister mentioned the names that were given by the separatist regime.
“It is necessary to follow the decisions and resolutions of the UN, according to which the geographical names of Azerbaijan should be used. There are no other toponyms that Madam Minister uses. The sovereign rights of Azerbaijan must be respected,” he said.
