Bayramov: Azerbaijan interested in further dialogue with Armenia

Currently, official Baku is expecting a new package of proposals for a peace treaty from Yerevan. Azerbaijan, as before, is interested in further dialogue with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Report informs.

The Azerbaijani minister noted that the location and formats of meetings may be different: “Azerbaijan is interested in normalizing relations with Armenia. A meeting was recently held in the 3+3 format. Although the meeting with the Armenian colleague was not planned in advance, it took place and lasted more than 40 minutes.”

Bayramov reminded that after the Patriotic War in 2020, work is underway to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and on the entire range of related issues.

“The mediation of the head of the European Council Charles Michel, the so-called Brussels format, had a positive impact on the normalization of relations,” Bayramov added.

According to the minister, it does not matter where and on what platforms meetings are held between the two countries, what is important is: “Azerbaijan is using all opportunities to continue peaceful negotiations.”
