Armenia is trying to manipulate the public opinion, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at the press conference following the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, according to Report's Russian bureau.
"The day before, we learned about the failure of the third round of negotiations, which were to be held in Moscow. I would like to draw attention to the manipulation campaign carried out by Armenia. The Armenian side presented a new package of proposals for a peace treaty. Armenian representatives notified the general public about this almost simultaneously. In parallel with, there were reports that Azerbaijan allegedly refuses to negotiate. This is an open indicator that Armenia is focusing more efforts not on the process itself, but on its imitation. Manipulation of public opinion is being created. Times and circumstances have changed, but habits have remained the same. But it is unclear how the Armenian side benefits from that," Bayramov said.
He also commented on the situation around the Lachin road, noting that the information disseminated by Armenia about its blockade is not true. "This is easily refuted by available facts," the Azerbaijani minister added.
