Baku reacts to illegal visit of Armenian Prosecutor General to Azerbaijani territories

On June 8, the Prosecutor General of Armenia illegally visited the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and met with a "representative" of the illegal regime, Report informs, citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan.

"This step against the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan violates the fundamental norms and principles of international law and seriously undermines the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period, as well as peace and security in the region," the ministry said.

"This irresponsible and provocative step of the Armenian side once again demonstrates that the country is not sincere in the process of normalization, as well as overshadows the efforts of international mediators. We emphasize that all the responsibility for this provocative step lies with the Armenian side," the ministry added.
