Baku hosts international conference dedicated to 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

Baku. 25 May. REPORT.AZ/ "Despite external and internal problems, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) was able to create all public and state institutions necessary for the state's existence and also to strengthen external relations and ensured human rights and freedoms”.

Report informs, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov said, speaking at an international conference on the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic at the ADA University.

According to the Foreign Minister, today Azerbaijan is the successor of ADR and exists on the principles that were laid by the first republic.

Mammadyarov noted that the ADR was also aimed at the formation of national identity, for this purpose a lot of work was done in the field of education, in particular, the first state university was created.
