Baku celebrates Pakistan’s Independence Day

The Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Baku, Report informs.

The event was attended by employees of the Pakistani Embassy in Azerbaijan, members of the Pakistani community, and Azerbaijani citizens.

The celebration commenced with the raising of Pakistan’s national flag. Later, messages from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were read, highlighting the significance of the day for the Pakistani people. Prayers were offered for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and development.

Qasim Mohiuddin, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, delivered a speech wishing peace and prosperity to his people and stressing the importance of security.

He also emphasized the historical friendship between the peoples of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
