Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian defense ministers' presser focuses on regional security

The Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish defense ministers held a joint presser in Georgia’s Kakheti region on October 5, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze made statements for the press. The Azerbaijani defense minister stressed the importance of good neighborly and close friendly relations between the countries and the peoples.

Underscoring that the trilateral meeting in Georgia is a vivid example of a strategic dialogue between the three countries, the minister said that the joint drills will pave the way for a new stage in the trilateral activities and, as a result, contribute to the regional security.

Emphasizing the importance of the meeting, Georgian Defense Minister Burchuladze noted that the country pays special attention to the development of trilateral relations. Hulusu Akar of Turkey expressed confidence that the existing friendly relations between the countries will further develop.

It was noted at the conference that sincere relations between the countries and trilateral cooperation in the defense sector are a guarantor of peace and stability and of an exemplary partnership in the region.
