Azerbaijani president vows to destroy any threat coming from Armenia

"We deem Armenians living in Karabakh as our citizens. They live in Azerbaijan. Karabakh has always been a territory of Azerbaijan. It has been Azerbaijani land both in the Soviet period, before and during the occupation,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told Anadolu Agency, Report informs.

"We consider them citizens of Azerbaijan. They just have to accept it. They must get rid of the Armenian propaganda. They must ensure their own future, the future of their children. We are ready to involve them in the reconstruction work. Why not? We are approaching the future from a strategic point of view, through the prism of peace. Because I want there to be no more war. In any case, we will not start a war if there are no revanchist tendencies on the Armenian side. If we see that there is a threat against us from Armenia, we must destroy that threat. This is our legitimate right. But if there is no such threat, we have no other plans," he said.
