"Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is possible provided that the officially recognized borders of both countries are respected," the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) MP Samad Seyidov told today’s session of the organization.
"The outcome of the elections in Armenia is important not only for Armenia, but also for neighboring countries, because the results of these elections affect neighboring countries. Today marks the first anniversary of the Second Karabakh War. A year ago, Azerbaijan liberated its lands. The Armenian people re-elected the prime minister, who lost the war. This means that the people want peace. The Armenian people have given a second chance to this man, who lost the war and went to war that killed many people. Unfortunately, there are those among Armenian officials who want to revenge. I urge my parliamentary colleagues to refrain from such views. I want to remind them once again that the path to peace is possible through respect for the officially-recognized borders of both countries."
