Azerbaijani Milli Majlis appeals to parliaments of other countries over Ter-Petrosyan's speech

The working groups on inter-parliamentary relations of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis and delegations to international parliamentary assemblies have sent letters to parliaments of foreign states and parliamentary assemblies.

Report learned that the letters recalled Armenia's large-scale violations of rights against the Azerbaijani people and state based on racial discrimination and radical nationalist ideology:

"The recently surfaced footage of former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan's speech from July 23, 1993, demonstrates this once again. This speech by Levon Ter-Petrosyan as president, presenting the occupation and ethnic cleansing that occurred during his rule as state policy, unequivocally proves Armenia's state responsibility for these crimes and shows that these crimes were committed systematically and in an organized manner."

Taking all this into account, as well as Armenia's continuing policy of racial discrimination and anti-peace stance, the letters call on foreign state parliaments and international parliamentary assemblies to pressure Armenia to abandon its racist policies, revanchism, and militarism, and to create conditions for the return of Western Azerbaijanis.
