Azerbaijani MFA shares post on first anniversary of Lachin's liberation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shared a publication on its Twitter account on the first anniversary of the liberation of the Lachin district from the occupation of the Armenian Armed Forces.

According to Report, the publication reads:

"On December 1, 2020, the brave Azerbaijani Army raised our tricolor flag in Lachin under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev."

According to a statement signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on November 10, 2020, Lachin was returned to Azerbaijan on December 1. The enemy occupied Lachin on May 18, 1992, attacking from the area called Turshsu in the city of Shusha and from the direction of Armenia.
