Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during the 28th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The meeting discussed current agenda items for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, joint projects in the areas of economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, as well as regional and international security issues.
Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the Iranian side on the excellent organization of the 28th Meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers.
The importance of strengthening cooperation within regional and international multilateral platforms, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Economic Cooperation Organization was emphasized.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other matters of mutual interest.
