Azerbaijani Foreign Minister receives new ambassador of Ukraine

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the newly appointed ambassador of Ukraine to our country Yuriy Husyev, Report informs via MFA.

The current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as regional security issues, were discussed at the meeting.

Bayramov congratulated Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev on his appointment and wished him success in his work.

The parties expressed their satisfaction with the development of strategic partnership relations between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, humanitarian, etc.

Informing about preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change chaired by Azerbaijan, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that COP29 can contribute to the development of relations by including the issue of combating climate change in the cooperation agenda.

In particular, Ambassador Yuriy Husyev thanked for the warm reception and pointed out that he will make efforts towards the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

Husyev expressed gratitude for the constant support provided by Azerbaijan to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as for the humanitarian aid provided in connection with the situation around Ukraine.

During the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
