Azerbaijani FM updates Polish counterpart on Baku-Yerevan normalization process

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski during the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79), Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.

Bayramov briefed Sikorski on the ongoing Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.

The meeting took place on September 25, 2024. The sides discussed the broad prospects for political, economic, alternative energy, and humanitarian cooperation between Baku and Warsaw. The importance of political consultations in enhancing bilateral relations was highlighted.

Minister Bayramov emphasized that the upcoming COP29, hosted by Azerbaijan, offers new partnership opportunities, and expressed interest in collaborating with Poland.

Additionally, Bayramov detailed the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, stressing the need for constitutional changes in Armenia to finalize the peace agreement.

The meeting concluded with discussions on new cooperation avenues and other mutual interests.
