A number of international organizations that have shown inaction during the occupation and conflict are undermining the current normalization agenda, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during the meeting with the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Martin Chungong, Report informs.
The minister informed the other party in detail about the current situation in the region, the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated territories, as well as the peace initiatives. He said that after the local anti-terrorist measures carried out in the Karabakh region last year, representatives of the UN and several other international organizations visited the region for the first time in 30 years.
Despite this position shown by Azerbaijan, some international organizations that demonstrated inactivity during the occupation and conflict undermined the current normalization agenda. He noted that Azerbaijan considers the latest step taken against it by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as another demonstration of such double standards.
