Azerbaijani FM receives outgoing ambassador of Ukraine

On April 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Ukrainian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic activity, Report informs.

At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current level of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine and the importance of expanding cooperation was emphasized.

It was especially noted that the relations between the two countries and peoples are based on historical foundations, constantly developing on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law, including territorial integrity and sovereignty.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid to Ukraine for its country and noted that they are grateful for it.

Furthermore, other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.

Gratitude was expressed to Ambassador Kanevsky for his role in fostering the bilateral ties, and he received well-wishes for his forthcoming endeavors.
