Azerbaijani FM receives Kuwaiti Ambassador as diplomatic mission ends

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received the Ambassador of Kuwait to Azerbaijan, Abdullah Mohamed Al-Mowed, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues on the cooperation agenda between the two countries.

Minister Bayramov expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Al-Mowed for his efforts in enhancing the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait and wished him success in his future endeavors.

It was highlighted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and friendly and brotherly Kuwait. The development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation over these years has been a source of satisfaction.

The importance of intensifying the activities of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Kuwait was noted, particularly in areas such as economy, trade, investments, and tourism.

It was stated that the positive outcome of governmental relations is reflected in the increased dynamics of mutual visits between the peoples of both countries.

The significance of continuing mutual support and cooperation within regional and international organizations, especially the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Gulf Cooperation Council, was emphasized.

Kuwait’s support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty during the nearly 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories was gratefully acknowledged.

Ambassador Al-Mowed thanked for the reception and the kind wishes regarding the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. He expressed confidence that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will continue to develop positively.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
