A regular in-person meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is taking place in Minsk, Report informs.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is taking part in the meeting.
The foreign ministers are expected to exchange views on topical issues of the international agenda and interaction in the Commonwealth format.
Several previously agreed documents on various areas of activity will be presented to the heads of delegations.
These are, in particular, the Joint Statement of the Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states on strengthening the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, the Plan for holding multi-level inter-ministerial consultations within the CIS for 2022, the Decision on the creation of a base organization to study the problems of countering terrorism and other manifestations of extremism, Methodological recommendations for the development of draft international treaties concluded within the CIS and others.
