Recently, the Armenian media have been spreading fake news about the "working visits" of "officials of the Republic of Artsakh" to Russia and their allegedly official meetings with the political circles of Russia, Report informs, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow.
On October 23, some social network pages circulated the news about Arayik Harutyunyan's stay in Moscow and his meetings with officials of the Russian Federation, during which the regional situation was discussed.
The Embassy once again draws attention to the fact that these persons cross the border of the Russian Federation with the citizen passports of the Republic of Armenia and, as a rule, meet with representatives of the Armenian diaspora, as well as their lobbyists. Such trips are exclusively private and are not considered official, and no political consultations are held with them through state structures and the Russian diplomatic service.
Often, such reports are fake, not supported by any facts, provocative in nature, and intended to mislead public opinion. They aim to cast a shadow on the successfully developing Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation," the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow said in a statement.
