Azerbaijani, Czech FMs hold meeting

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky within the framework of the 29th meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers in Lodz, Poland, Report informs, citing MFA.

At the meeting, the sides voiced satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, and noted that the current ties have the nature of a strategic partnership.

Bayramov emphasized the great potential for further expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.

The ministers noted the importance of continuing political consultations between the two countries and exchanged views on the prospects of developing cooperation in a number of fields, including energy security, economy, and trade.

Bayramov informed his counterpart about the post-conflict situation in the region, Azerbaijan's steps in the direction of peacebuilding in the region, the restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated areas, as well as the ongoing mine threats.

At the meeting, the parties also discussed regional and international security issues.
