Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey visits Khojaly monument

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Rashad Mammadov visited the Azerbaijan-Karabakh Park and the Khojaly genocide monument in Denizli, Report informs, citing Turkish media.

He was accompanied by representatives of the Denizli governor and students.

Rashad Mammadov expressed satisfaction with the love of the people of Denizli for Azerbaijan: "The people of Azerbaijan are susceptible to issues related to Khojaly and Karabakh. This relationship in Turkey and Denizli increases the love and respect between the two states' peoples. We do not erect these monuments to increase hatred. There are good and bad people in every nation. We must know that tragedies such as the Khojaly genocide, a crime against humanity, should not be repeated."

The diplomat noted that the perpetrators of this tragedy are still alive: "We must always teach history to the younger generation. We must demand justice. The perpetrators of these crimes are alive, and some are still in power. We must demand that they be punished for the tragedy they committed."
