Azerbaijan's newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador to Bangladesh Elchin Huseynli presented on Monday his letter of credence to Mohammed Shahabuddin, President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Huseynli said on X, Report informs.
“Our countries enjoy friendly bilateral ties and cooperate closely within international organizations. Privileged to have this opportunity to serve for further deepening of our relations!” Huseynli said.
In another X post, the Azerbaijani ambassador said he called on Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser (Acting Minister) to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Bangladesh and a prominent environmental lawyer: “We discussed in length the upcoming COP29 in Baku, incl. the most pressing issues of climate change. Informed her about the COP29 Action Agenda to enhance ambition and enable action.”
Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi press reported that during the reception of Huseynli, President Mohammed Shahabuddin of Bangladesh stated that his country is interested in expanding mutual and multilateral relations with Azerbaijan in various fields, including trade and investment.
