Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Georgia are setting up a joint parliamentary assembly, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament Nikoloz Samkharadze said, Report informs.
According to him, the decision was made at a meeting in Baku:
"We made an important decision to work on the creation of the Georgia-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Assembly. This will bring inter-parliamentary relations to a qualitatively new level. Our previous format will continue to operate in parallel."
Samkharadze said that the next annual meeting of the heads of foreign relations committees of the three countries' parliaments is planned to be held in Georgia next spring.
