Azerbaijan to attend OIC emergency meeting on Jammu and Kashmir

Today Organisation of Islamic cooperation (OIC) will hold an emergency meeting of the Contact Group to discuss the situation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir after the decision of India to deprive this region of special status, Report informs citing the  Geo.tv.

The session to be held in Jeddah will be attended by representatives from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and other member countries.

Notably, yesterday Indian government announced a decision to abolish Article 370 of the Constitution, which granted special status to Indian-occupied Kashmir.

In its turn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement that Islamabad uses "all options" in response to the actions of India, which abolished the special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
