On August 1, in a letter addressed to the authorized representative of Azerbaijan at the European Court of Human Rights, it was requested to provide information on the conditions of detention and health of Vagif Khachaturyan at the request of the Armenian government, Report informs.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of Azerbaijan to the European Court of Human Rights, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Chingiz Asgarov noted that the Republic of Azerbaijan will provide the information requested by the European Court, adhering to its obligations arising from the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
“At the same time, it is surprising that the Armenian government applied to the European Court of Justice with a request to ‘receive’ the information contained in open sources and the media, and presented such an appeal as a ‘temporary measure of guarantee.’ It seems that the helplessness of Armenia has already passed into the legal plane,” Asgarov said.
