An event dedicated to the memorial day of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, was held in Kharkiv.
According to Report's Eastern European bureau, the event was organized on the initiative of the honorary consulate at the Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev delivered a welcome speech. He spoke about the life and work of the great leader, his significant contribution to strengthening diplomatic relations with Ukraine and his influence on world politics.
The event also featured speeches by Nikolai Titov, Chairman of the Council of Honorary Citizens of Kharkiv Region, Anatoly Vasiliev, President of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine, Honorary Consul Afgan Salmanov, and other guests.
The meeting concluded with a screening of a documentary film about the national leader's life journey.
As part of the event, a photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev was organized.
