Azerbaijan’s amphibious aircraft continues to combat forest fires in Türkiye

In line with President Ilham Aliyev's directive, a BE-200CS amphibious aircraft from the Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dispatched to assist in combating severe forest fires in Türkiye, continues its firefighting operations, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Report.

On August 18, the aircraft operated in the Mugla-Ula region, conducting 12 water-dropping operations and releasing a total of 114 tons of water on the forest fires.

Firefighting efforts are ongoing.
