Azerbaijan maintains its position in passport Index

For some people, a passport is a portal to the world. For others, it is a barrier to the travel freedom they seek. Where do you lie on the spectrum of mobility?

The Henley Passport Index is the most rigorous and sophisticated measure of global access. It goes beyond a simple ranking of passports to provide you with an in-depth picture of your travel freedom, including which countries you can access with which type of visa. Or how your passport has changed over the last 14 years, how your passport compares to other passports, why your passport has the level of access it does, and which new visas would improve your mobility.

Henley & Partners published the passport index for the second quarter of 2020.

Report says, citing the organization's website, Japan holds the first place in the passport Index. Citizens of the country can visit 191 destinations worldwide without a visa (or with a visa on arrival), which is two more countries than a year ago. Singapore remains in 2nd place with a score of 190 countries, while South Korea and Germany ranked third (189 destinations).

Azerbaijan has retained the 76th place in the passport Index, and citizens of the Republic can visit 67 countries without a visa.

Afghanistan is firmly ranked the last (109th). Citizens of this country can freely visit only 26 countries of the world.
