Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan to sign Declaration on Strategic Partnership

"I am sure that the visit will be very productive and give good results. We are determined to maintain active interaction in all areas. I am confident that your visit will further strengthen our relations and many documents will be signed. Of course, I think that the most important of these documents is the Declaration on Strategic Partnership, which will take our relations to a qualitatively new level. We are very pleased with that. We have a solid foundation in our relations. This is the fraternal ties between our peoples. Today, we build interstate relations on such a solid foundation, on the basis of these principles," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the one-on-one meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov.

"Next year, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This is a great history. A lot has been done, but much remains to be done. I believe that there will be new achievements and new results both in cooperation within international organizations and in a bilateral format. Today we will talk in detail about mutual economic activity, transport, increase in trade turnover between our countries, and, of course, regional security issues that require special attention in the modern world. In my opinion, the exchange of views on these issues will be very useful," the head of state noted.
