Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan foreign ministries discuss developing cooperation

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have discussed developing cooperation between their foreign ministries, Report informs, citing Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry.

The discussions were held in Baku between Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and Amangeldi Sainov, chief of staff of Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry.

The talks were also attended by heads of relevant departments overseeing personnel and financial policy, real estate management, and information security.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the role of diplomatic services in modern conditions and ways to further improve them to effectively promote national interests. Special attention was paid to personnel policy issues at the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, including approaches to improving the selection procedures and professional training of diplomats.

"The sides also discussed key aspects of financial support and budget planning for diplomatic missions, as well as existing incentive mechanisms for diplomatic service employees. Following the visit, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening cooperation, regularly exchanging experience and implementing joint initiatives through the foreign ministries," the ministry said.
