The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran does not fully reflect the possibilities of economic cooperation between the countries, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference following a meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran.
Report informs, citing Mehr, that, according to Bayramov, during today's meetings with Iranian officials, he discussed regional issues and bilateral relations between the two countries.
"Though in 2021, there was a 30% increase in trade between the two countries, as well as an 18% increase in trade between Azerbaijan and Iran since the beginning of 2022 compared to the same period last year, the commercial and economic capacities of the two countries may be higher than these figures," the foreign minister added.
