Chief of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan (SMS), Second-Rank State Migration Service Counsellor Vusal Huseynov, discussed cooperation in the field of migration with Mohammed Abdiker, Chief of Staff of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), who is visiting Azerbaijan.
The State Migration Service told Report that Huseynov highlighted the effective cooperation established between the SMS and IOM.
He provided information about projects implemented by the service in the previous period aimed at increasing the efficiency of migration management and applying innovative approaches, particularly the Highly Qualified Migrant Portal.
Huseynov also spoke about the importance of Azerbaijan's participation in the Second International Migration Review Forum and the panel discussions jointly organized with IOM as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.
IOM Chief of Staff Mohammed Abdiker emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in the field of migration and noted the significance of continuing mutual efforts to further develop existing relations in the future.
At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the results achieved within the framework of current cooperation, other issues of mutual interest and future areas of cooperation.
