Azerbaijan FM holds discussions with his Montenegrin counterpart

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimovic, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79), Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, energy, and humanitarian fields. They emphasized that high-level mutual visits and regular political consultations are crucial for maintaining a permanent political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Montenegro.

Bayramov briefed Ibrahimovic on Azerbaijan’s COP29 Presidency and expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness for ongoing cooperation with Montenegro in environmental activities. They also discussed Azerbaijan’s restoration, reconstruction, and peace efforts in the post-conflict period, noting that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts towards sustainable peace and security.

Additionally, they exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
