Azerbaijan expresses protest to European Union

On April 16, the European Union (EU) representative in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Report informs referring to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan that Jankauskas expressed a protest in connection with the meeting of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar with the representative of the illegal regime David Babayan during the visit to Armenia on April 14 of this year.

It was emphasized that steps that do not consider the new realities that have developed in the post-conflict region, threaten a fragile peace and give the enemy unreasonable expectations should not be taken.

It was noted that such activities of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus undermined Azerbaijan's trust in him.
