Head of the Azerbaijani office of UNICEF has been invited to the Foreign Relations Department of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration, Report informs referring to Caliber.az.
At the meeting, concern has been expressed to the UNICEF representative about the unacceptability of the statements made by the head of the UNICEF Yerevan office about the sovereign territory of another country.
It was emphasized that the head of the UNICEF Yerevan office had exceeded the mandate and authority.
The UNICEF office and the UN resident coordinator in Azerbaijan acknowledged the biased statements of the head of the UNICEF Yerevan office.
The UNICEF Yerevan office issued a statement in which it noted that the closure of the Lachin corridor affects children, limiting access to the basic services they need for survival, healthy growth and well-being.
